Starting Exam/Installing Rosalyn App:
The Tech & Permission Pre-flight helps prepare you and your computer for your upcoming exam experience. You will need to have your camera and microphone set up, as well as a valid Personal ID.
In the Rosalyn application, follow the instructions for the Tech & Permissions Pre-Flight. Click on the “Let’s Go” button to begin, and You will see a roadmap for all the steps that you need to follow before starting the exam. Click on the “Get Started” button to continue.
Next, you will see the Rules for your Exam as specified by your testing program.
Rosalyn will then “Test your Tech” to ensure you are ready to begin the exam. The system will check that you have the minimum internet speed required– 500kb/s for download and upload.
When your connection is sufficient, you will be able to proceed by clicking “Next.”
In order to check your camera and microphone, you will record 5 seconds of yourself. You can do this by clicking on the start “Record Clip.” Once you record it, you can check it, continue or Retry to record again.
Note: Please make sure to say a few words while recording yourself so you can listen back to ensure your microphone is working properly.
After you confirm your video and audio settings, you can click “Next” to proceed.
This step confirms that you have only one display enabled. Once confirmed, you will be allowed to continue. Please close all the applications that Rosalyn lists. After closing all the apps, the “Next” button will be available for you to proceed.
The last step is to take your picture and a picture of your personal ID in order to confirm your identity. Click the “Take Photo” button. If you don't like the picture, you can “Retake” it and click “Next”
Note: Make sure your personal ID is visible in the marked window.
You can now start your exam by clicking on the “Start” button.
