FAQs - Booking an Exam With Certiverse

Does my computer meet the requirements necessary to take my exam?

Am I able to use a Chrome book for my exam?

Unfortunately, the test environment doesn't support Chromebook.  You will want to try to access using a machine that meets the requirements listed in the Hardware Requirements Article  (Proctoring Hardware Requirements)

I navigate to Certiverse.com but only see a blank page. How can I book my exam?

Some work computers/VPN block out the Certiverse site.  We recommend that you use a personal machine if this is the case. 

My camera doesn't work

Check for a camera switch or button on your device.  Some laptops and portable devices have a physical switch or button that turns the camera on or off. When it's turned off, your device may not recognize that there's a camera installed, or it may cause your camera to show an image of a camera with a slash through it. If your laptop has a switch or button, make sure it's in the on position before using your camera. Those switches or buttons may not be easy to find, so make sure you check all possible places. What are voucher codes and how can I book an exam with a voucher code?

Vouchers for exams are a form of prepaid codes that allow individuals to pay for and schedule their certification exams. Here's a brief overview of how vouchers for exams work in Certiverse:
  1. Obtaining Vouchers: Vouchers can be obtained through authorized Test Sponsors who are currently partnered with Certiverse. They are available for specific exams or certification programs. These vouchers will be distributed manually or assigned to candidates via email. 
    1. For instance, employers will frequently utilize vouchers as a means to cover the expenses of their employees' exams, while academic insituitions may aquire exam vouchers for their students.
  2. Redemption: Once you have received your voucher code, it will be in the form of a unique code. The candidate can redeem the voucher while booking an exam.
  3. Exam Registration: Candidates must navigate to the exam they wish to through the Test Sponsor’s landing page at Certiverse and click GET STARTED. During the registration process, the voucher code is applied, which covers the cost of the exam.
  4. Voucher Rules: 1. If a candidate begins to take the exam but abandons the exam after launch, the voucher code is considered Used and will not be reinstated. 2. If a candidate fails to take the exam before the 7-day expiration date occurs, the voucher code is considered Used and will not be reinstated. 3. If a candidate cancels the exam before the 7-day expiration date, the voucher code will be reinstated and made available to rebook an exam. *
  5. Voucher Expiration: Vouchers have an expiration date that is set up by the Test Sponsor, beyond which they cannot be used. It's important to keep track of the voucher's validity and use it before it expires to avoid any loss. If you require an extension for this date of expiration, please contact the Test Sponsor directly to discuss your options.

*It's important to note that specific voucher policies and procedures can vary between certification programs and Test Sponsors. Therefore, candidates should carefully review the terms and conditions associated with their particular voucher to ensure a smooth exam experience.

Where do I request time accommodations?

 To request a time accommodation, also referred to as time extension, please contact your Test Sponsor to submit a formal request. Once a request has been made to the Test Sponsor, they will review the request and determine if the individual is eligible.
