Test rules provide guidance for what is acceptable during your test. Your test may be paused by the proctor or automatically by the testing platform to investigate suspicious actions or events during the test.

Exam Best Practices:
Use a private test area.
Make sure that you are alone for the duration of the exam.
Ideally, you will be in a quiet, well-lit room.
Note: The AI and proctors will flag “other person” events in which another person comes into the video frame. If you must take your exam in a room with others, try to find a quiet area where no one will inadvertently walk behind you during the exam.
Do not interact with others.
Do not speak with anyone during the exam.
Other materials are not allowed.
For your exam, supplemental materials such as books, textbooks, notes, or other non-digital materials are not allowed to be referenced.
Only one mouse, keyboard, and monitor/display are allowed during the exam.
Use of a second monitor, or any software that allows you to share your computer, or grant remote access to your computer, is not allowed during the exam.
If you choose to use an external monitor to extend your laptop's display, please close your laptop screen. Remember, an external monitor must have its own webcam that stays on throughout the entire appointment. In this case, your laptop webcam won't be usable.
No additional devices are allowed.
Please turn off your devices (except your testing computer). This includes iPads, iPods, tablets, smartwatches, or electronic dictionaries.
Headphones may not be used while testing (including earbuds, AirPods, headsets, etc.)
Face must be visible in the camera view.
Please attempt to remain in the camera view for the duration of your exam.
We recommend that you keep your face uncovered.
Note: If you need to keep your face covered for medical, religious, or other personal reasons and have concerns , please check with your Testing Program about getting a special accommodation set up. No other Apps or browser tabs are allowed.

Do not use any copy, cut, or paste function with your mouse, keyboard, voice command, or device.
Do not take any screenshots or photos of your computer screen during the exam.
